New cost-efficient Proceeds of Crime Act (PoCA) Test Available

Mass Spec Analytical (MSA) has introduced a new Proceeds of Crime, Drugs on Money analysis service aimed at small seizures bound for civil court proceedings.  Cost of the service is £300 plus any extras.

Limited to small, single exhibit seizures of less than £4500, the service tests for 5 illicit drugs at a time, significantly expanding the scope for several drugs that the cash may have become contaminated with. Normally we look for traces of Cocaine, Heroin, MDMA (Ecstasy), THC (Cannabis) and Amphetamine. If you require, we can substitute these with alternatives subject to further discussions and clarification, prior to delivery of exhibit.

Output from the test is a Civil court proceedings statement; a single page report like a streamlined statement produced by many police forensic labs.

The ISO-17025-accredited analysis method used is the same one that MSA uses for its Drugs on Money testing cases used in criminal proceedings all over the country. This means that the civil statement can be upgraded to a standard MSA abbreviated statement which is admissible as evidence to the crown court.
