Our expert witnesses, based in our accredited laboratory, Bristol, UK, are Road Traffic Act analysts listed by the Royal Society of Chemistry and can assist in cases of alcohol testing in blood and urine for cases of Drink Driving

  • Technical defence

MSA perform alcohol calculations in relation to charges such as Death by Dangerous Driving, Drunk in Charge of a Vehicle and Driving with Excess Alcohol. These calculations may consider any of the following:

    • Pre-incident drinking
    • Post-incident drinking (hip flask defence)
    • Alcohol content when intending to drive - Statutory defence
    • Spiked drinks
    • Blood/urine alcohol concentration at the time of an incident

  • Determination of volume consumed from bottles or glasses
  • Alcohol level in liquids inc. beers, wines and spirits (% ABV).
  • Work place testing (employee screening).

How do I Submit a Blood / Urine Specimen?

Call MSA (+44 (0) 117 317 3600) to arrange the work, agree the time required to prepare the report and to arrange payment of fees, currently £150.00 including VAT for the analysis of a single specimen. Payments accepted include: Cash, Cheque, Postal Order and Bank Transfer (discuss on contact)
